Just got word from my ex-employer that the stats server needs to be out of their server room by Nov 21 :( I'm going to try to get the stats up and running from my home server, but I'm not sure I'll have enough time to get it up before the plug gets pulled... sux :| So, we're probably looking at an outage, and when I come back up, it will be on a non-standard port (probably 8080) on a home connection that may be prone to having the IP change (no way I can afford a static IP) ... I'll look into hosting options, but that would mean really trimming down the databases, killing of the dead projects and probably the ones on life-support also... *sigh* sorry guys :(

Can't be helped really.. you did say it was hosted at your "ex-employer" so be glad you were able to run it there as long as you could. ;)

I'm sure some of the other DC folks may be of help though with programs to allow for a dynamic IP address.

Sorry to hear that Geoff.
Wasn't you thinking about going back to that company at one time?

Freewolf... still working on it! :p New VP IT coming in... new rules... *shrug*

Wolfsraider... I've been doing consulting work for them ever since I left... I was clear on why I was leaving (it was either a paid sabatical which I knew they wouldn't go for, hospitalization which wasn't my preference, or change jobs for a while) and made it equally clear that I would return if they wanted me to. Things there are in flux at the moment (new VP IT, new owners), so I'm sitting tight for the moment. :)

If you can't, if you can tell me what you need to get it going, I might be able to provide you with a static location for them. Let me know.
