Looking at the reviews of this card (I have two of them), and nearly all of the most recent ones are ONE EGG, and most talk about crashing and other issues, starting at 9 to 11 months of ownership. I've owned mine about 10 months, and use them primarily for distributed computing, not gaming. Haven't noticed any errors or issues yet. (Knock on wood.)

I wonder if these NV GPUs could have latent defects, that cause errors after about a year of use? Or could it be driver problems with recent drivers? I've heard that NV's driver quality as of late hasn't been very good.

Edit: I don't think it's temps either, because this card has two big fans on it, and temps on mine never really exceeded 73C.

I have had my MSI Geforce GTX 460 1GB for about 10 months now and it's still running great. temps have never gone above 55C for any sort of intense gaming sessions; a far cry from the idle 58C my old Geforce 260GTX ran at.

Been running that card OC'd fine, 50 to 55c max with an accellero extreme. Great card so far and if it breaks what's $100 bucks anyway.

Perhaps it was a bad spell of drivers? I went straight from 270 to the BF3 driver, and no issues have recently developed.

One is over a year old and just recently added another (for SLI) though not 100% the same exact card (slightly faster core clok). Purchased both from the Egg.
I agreed the newer card seems to get sh!ty reviews but may be because more of the pissed-off buyers took time writing it?
Anyhow...both are running fine at the moment.
Should I add, I've never over-clocked these cards.
