ive always made a noise to associate w/ feeding time.
i shake his food bag or bang on the can with a knife before feeding.
its amazing how fast lost kitties turn up when they expect food.
is he indoors or outdoors?
im never having outdoor cats again, since i had two get run over, thanks mom.
she refused to have indoor cats, even though her and my dad used to before my sister and i were born.

^ what she said. My parents have a cat that once got shut in the closet accidentally. We looked all over, and tried shaking the can of treats - no response. Finally we opened the closet (even though my mom was sure she hadn't been in there that day). The cat walks out with a "took you long enough" look.
