Hi,

I got a Jetway Mini-Q SFF PC from my brother in law. Last week, the PC started beeping at bootup - nothing else. After messing with it as much as I could, I finally took it in to a PC store who told me the MB was bad.

So, my stupid question of the day - are these SFF computers just like full sized computers? Do I need to buy a Jetway MB, or can I just replace the MB with any mATX form factor MB? If I don't need to buy the Jetway, any particular MB you suggest? This is the wife's computer used for email and surfing. Want something stable and relatively cheap, but not junk, of course.

TIA!

Anyone?

I just really need to know whether I need to contact Jetway to get a replacement, or if I can use any ol mATX MB. I've never seen a mATX MB so I don't know if they are the same size as the ones in the SFF I have.

Most SFF rigs use flexATX motherboards with specific layouts. If that's the case with Jetway, then you need to buy a replacement mobo from them most likely. flexATX is smaller than microATX.
