I will list my specs below..
OK, i have recently made a new pc build, but i am having BIG troubles. Basically, when i got her up n running, at 1st, the MoBo would only recognize 1 stick of my ram. i had them installed for dual channel. (Slots A1,B1) So it was like there was no RAM in slot B1, ok, so i switch to slots A2, and B2. Now it recognizes both sticks. However, my system is very unstable, and crashes. Usually once i put it under load (games mostly) But i can leave it on all day, and even do web browsing, etc. with no problems.but once i try to play...it will work for a while, then the whole pc will freeze up, and i have to hit the power switch. Ok so i tried goin into single channel (slots A1,A2) and it seems much more stable..i am able to play COD4, several matches, browse the net, not too much problems..but still every so often, my pc will just reset itself, and load back up like nothing happened..however sometimes, it will give me the blue screen of death, Unfortunately, i bought my MOBo a while back, and did not put together the pc, until well past the 30 day mark, so i dont think i can return it. I am hoping its possible, it may be the RAM itself..and maybe just replacing the RAM will help..but i guess thats wishful thinking..Note: I have not done any Overclocking, modding, of any sort..i installed all drivers on the cd that came with the mobo..

MoBO: Intel BOXDP45SG

CPU: Intel Q9550 2.83 Ghz

Vid Card: Nvidea 8800 GT

OS: Win XP sp2

PS: SIGMA FOCUS SP600B 600W (700W Peak) ATX12V

You might have two issues going on. It could be a bad motherboard and bad RAM.

I would start with the motherboard. Here is the Intel website for your motherboard: http://www.intel.com/support/m...boards/desktop/dp45sg/ . There is a BIOS update from a month ago. Check your version and see if you can apply this update. Test out the A1 and B1 slots to see if they work in dual channel mode.

Next, test the RAM with Memtest 86. Burn a bootable ISO from here: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso . Run it for least 12 hours and see if there are any errors. If there are errors then run it again. If the you see errors on the second test then RMA the RAM as it's bad.
