Bad Memory -- Warranty question

I picked up some Kbyte memory from Best Buy on Saturday for $30 after rebate. PC2700 DDR 256MB chip. Good deal for someone wanting the chip that day.

It worked great until today. No blue screens, definite increase in performance. Then suddenly I get a blue screen and the computer shuts down. I try to turn it back on and it won't boot up. I'm seeing power to the mother board but nothing is happening.

I remove the new ram chip and it fires up just fine again. Just to prove it was the bad chip I put it back in and nothing. Obviously something is wrong with that chip right?

Is this something Best Buy should exchange for me or will I have to deal with the manufacturer?

Best Buy is usually great with warrenties ::So long as you have the receit!!!
I took back my NEC monitor which had a grey spot, and they handled everything from shipping it back to NEC to replacing the monitor. I would suggest you just take it back to bestbuy and talk to there service desk ppl.
