Hey all. GOt my P4PE last week. Got it all set up and it seemed to be fine. I let it run a couple days then started Oclocking it. Got it up to 166 fsb (can't remember what the mem was at) but it wouldn't get all the way through 3d mark. So, backed it down to 160 fsb and had the memory at 427 (?) and all seemd fine. Ran Prime for abour 10 hours and all was stable. Left it alone for a day or so, went back to try and get it higher. THen tried prime again and now it never get past like 2 minutes. unless I back the mem down to 333. I have corsair xms 3200 cas2 and thought that was crazy not to be able to runit. So I rma'd my ram thinking it was bad. Just got my new stick and put it in. SAME THING!!! SO I decided to put the mem in the middle slot just for kicks, and would you know, I just stopped it at 30 munites of prime (will run more later). Can a mem slot go bad? If so, I am gonna rma the board asap. What do you think?

Thanks,

PJ

Mem slots usually don't go bad per se, but sometimes they will refuse to run certain DIMMs when other mem slots will. I'd say your problems have to do with your mem timings as well as other BIOS settings. What are your hardware specs and BIOS settings.

Thanks Even... By the way, your review is why I went with this board. It is VERY nice.

Hardware Specs:
P4PE w/P4 2.4b (c1 stepping - got lucky)
512mb Corsair xms 3200 cas 2
2x 80gb WD Special Editions In Raid 0 setup
Leaktek Gf 4 ti 4400
Lite-On 48x
Pine DvD
SB Audigy Platinum
XP Pro

As far as mem timings, I have used EVERYTHING in cluding the default settings.
