Well I just got DSL installed last week and ever since I have been getting the worst memory leaks I have ever had. As I type this device manager is reporting system resources at 10% free. Is there any way for me to recover lost memory? I cant imagine what this could be as I have 256 megs of PC133 memory. I had my swap file at 256, maybe I should raise it to 512? I am at a loss on what to do.
My specs:
P3-700@960
256 megs PC133
Asus CUSL2
ATI Radeon 64 DDR
45.5 IBM ATA 100 HardDrive
Westell ADSL External Modem
TV Tuner PCI
SB Live!
16x DVD-ROM
Plextor 12/10/32A
Win ME
In the background I have no virus checking running except for email checker. I have Zone alarm pro, MBM 5.0 also running and thats it.
Any insight? Are there any good progs out there that will release mem that greedy progs dont like to give back?
Thanks
Joe
