Bad idea to put Xbox on top of receiver?

Would it be a bad idea to put my xbox on top of my home theater receiver? I don't want it to get to hot and fry either one of them. Its an original xbox, not the 360, and the receiver is an Onkyo HT R510
 
If you have it on a stand with air inbetween, it might be okay, but I would definitely *not* put it directly on top of the receiver. Not only will it stop heat from venting from your receiver, but that trapped heat will heat up your XBOX as well.
