Bad harddrive, but what's the reason?

Okay, I have an ATA66 10.2GB Seagate drive that I'm currently using for my OS drive. It's been making this clicking sound for the last few days, and the computer will stop doing everything while it accesses the drive (Stops movies, WinAmp, etc.), but I can't think or why it would be doing this.
This is already an RMA drive, as the first one I found in a garbage can, pulled out and checked on the website, and low and behold, it was under warranty! Not sure if they'll take it as RMA this time around, although I don't really care either, as the costs are so low on larger drives these days.
BUT...has anyone experienced this problem before with a harddrive? Anyone know the cause of it? I'm planning on backing it up sometime tomorrow after my 120GB drives come in, and then using my current 60GB drive as the boot drive.

Peace,
GermyBoy

you should back up NOW, many call that sound the "click of death" as normally after hearing it the drive dies and will no longer run, I wouldn't wait if I were you...

Eh...I don't really care if I lose everything. Everything is already on my big drive. Plus, I have a few programs I dont' want to run ever again, so it wouldn't hurt.
