Theres this one guy in the office, hes always walking around the office with his bluetooth headset in (on/around) his ear.

For whatever reason, I find it unprofessional. Anyone else feel the same way?

It's just annoying, especially when they look at you and say something and you don't know if they are talking to you or talking on their headset. Take it out if you're not talking.

But a cellphone is more discreet. I think its more like walking around with headphones in the office.

I don't like it. It makes it nearly impossible to approach someone because you don't know if they are on the phone or not but then again that can come in handy. If you see someone whom you do not want to speak with appoaching you, just pretend you are on the phone.

It bothers me too but I don't know why. I think that if I were a customer trying to talk to someone that was wearing one of those, I'd be a little upset.

i guess i can understand for sales people. but developers?

Like someone above said...it makes them seem more unapproachable.

We have some of our guys walk around on their wireless headsets (not BT) and talk, kinda frustrating. Sometimes they'll stand right behind you and yap...

I have someone in the office with the same deal looks like an idiot, unless you're on the phone you shouldn't have it on your ear.
