:| Had freezing problems with my PNY 6800 Ultra. After spending days reinstalling windows, all drivers and bios.
I was still having the same problem. Emailed PNY for support. They said to check all drivers and PS. Which I already done.
I was ready to send the card back for RMA. Thought I should maybe search forums when I came across EVGA's forums.
If anybody is having probs w/their 6 series cards visit their forums.
Mine was fixed by setting 2D and 3D settings at 425 using Coolbits.
Have Emailed PNY several times about this with no response. I'm trying to get a Bios update when and if available.
Anybody thinking of going with PNY might want to rethink their purchase due to support issues.

Yes, PNY is known to have terrible customer service. BFG or eVGA might be a better choice.

After dropping 550 bucks on the 6800U from PNY they could at least respond to emails.
Has anybody had success getting a bios update from PNY to fix 2D and 3D setting mismatch?

Was your initial email to them written with class? Or was it full of rage because you spent 550 on the card and how dare it not work? It makes a HUGE difference in response time. Catch more flies with honey than you do with venom.

They do have a toll free tech support line as well. you just have to say no to a bunch of questions that are useless then you can get on the phoen with a real person.

My reply to them was civilized. Basically I had told them of the fix that was found at EVGA. I also told them to add this as a suggestion for customers having freezing probs w/6 series cards.
They had said there's alot of RMA's due to power supply issues. I wonder if they actually put this stuff in a real PC and actually play a game?
No dice I figure. If they did, I think they would find something is actually wrong.(maybe)
Guess a call to them would be in order later.
My card is running fine now using Coolbits clocked at 451--1.15. Driver 61.77.
Anyway, if I were to buy another 6800U. It's going to be EVGA. These guys RULE. Excellent forums with plenty of information.

What did PNY say about the clock speeds you were running with their card? :D

PNY warranty

Hmmmm......I note that PNY says overclocking voids the warranty and that they can tell if you have overclocked the card. I wonder if they really can tell?

When I had written them. The card was brand new. Default was 400 2D and 425 3D. They had said nothing, meaning no reply to my inquiry for bios update. BTW I had told them the fix for me.
