My motherboard recently fried so i rma'd it for a new one, when i got it all i put in was cpu memory and video card, Started fine gave me and error code, so i restarted and now its back to where it was, the mobo isnt responding at all, i've narrowd it down between the cpu and video card casuing the problem. Could a bad cpu or video card cause the motherboard to frie? My main guess is that the cpu's bad.
Any thoughts?
thx

I have had a PSU go bad and do the same thing... It is hard to tell what it could be... My PSU messed up the CPU witch then messed up the motherboard... I had to replace all three to get it fixed... I went though 3 CPU and 2 Motherboard...

Not only that..what about the power socket you are using itself. I'd move the PC. I've seen MB and Monitors fry b/c of socket voltages.

well i tried the psu on a socket 472 board and it wored fine so it leads me to the cpu or video card. But i got my $ on the cpu
