Bad connections

It's not exactly a freeze, but evidently a problem with AT's ads. Sometimes, a page will become stuck trying to load something from fastclick (an ad server, if I'm not mistaken). It seems unable to load, and won't go on to load the rest of the page. If I hit stop and refresh, it will usually load fine without trying to connect to fastclick (I suppose that's due to the rotating ads). Anybody else have this issue?

Edit: I'm using Opera 9.01 on XP.

There's little AnandTech can do about this, unless perhaps they rejig the ad banner areas of the page to use asymmetric Javascript calls to retrieve banners - or Flash to do the same. Then the rest of the page wouldn't get lagged waiting for the banners to load.

Adblock should skip the ad completely.
