it looks MUCH better than crysis.
considering i had to turn down everything to run crysis at desired performance. ()🙂

This is puzzling since i can enable transparency AA in old games like WoW or HL2 without a problem with significant image improvements.

In BF:BC2 its so bad that you cannot even recognize an enemy in the distance because of all the jaggies - worse even if you move around in the game.

Obviously, the only "solution" (haha) is to get a GTX 480 which supports DX11....but then i wonder why i can enable TRAA in other games with my GTX275. I am pretty ****ed and feel like i wasted money because the JAGGIES looking so bad.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN? You seriously need to examine your eyes or something.... I just bought this game on steam a day ago and I am completely BLOWN AWAY by the gorgeous graphics. The game looks amazing, ages better than Modern Warfare 2 and anything else in the class. You probably don't know how to use computers or something....

Honestly, I am not even really interested in Video Games as much as I used to be. I must be growing out of it or something. But BF:BC2 definitely managed to rekindle my interest in gaming. I cant even begin to find the words to describe just how much I love this game. I am passing single player just about on one breath, and I cannot stop, well except for breaks for RL, that is.

The sound in this game is simply ASTONISHING, and that's with my shitty 8 year old sound card. I can only imagine what I would get if I had one of those new ones.

Modern Warfare 2 that everyone raves about doesn't even hold a candle to BF:BC2. "All Flash, no Substance" - that is how I can sum up COD: MW2. This game simply doesn't have a "soul" to it. It feels "plastic", artificial.... The graphics are nice, but again, they just feel very "plastic". I hate how swarms of enemies will keep coming at you in never ending numbers unless u reach a certain checkpoint when they will all magically disappear. And the story.... WHAT STORY? There is no story in MW2 it sucks... It has all been done before a million times.... BORING!

None of these issues are present in BC2, the graphics are top notch, and they feel REAL, the story is amazing(not that it's 100% original and never been done before). If you kill a group of enemies, you are DONE, they will not keep spawning out of clear blue unless you advance to the next group.

BC2 also has much more weapons than MW2, and it actually makes it interesting to acquire these weapons unlike MW2.

Anyone who says BC2's graphics are anything short of CUTTING EDGE is simply out of his mind. And this is coming from a person with a fairly dated computer, who cant even play the game in DX11 mode.

Crysis has better I.Q...years ago...so BC2 is far from cutting egde.
It's a FPS on rails that on a console-lover would consider "cutting egde"...

Metro2033 is cutting egde...but then you get the whines (just like with Crysis) when peoples e-peen get hurt because they can run the game at max...

See, I can agree with this...but its still a far cry from something like Crysis...which everyone thinks looks worse...hell, even that new Sniper Ghost Warrior gives BC2 a run for its money graphically.

Look, Im not saying BC2 doesnt look good, but it is NOT mind blowingly awesome like sooo many people think it is...I just dont see it...and I HAVE played it for those who think Im speaking out of my ass...
 
Bad Company 2 is nowhere as good as Crysis, just look at the foliage you shoot at trees , drop a bomb nothing happens at least not the way in Crysis.
BF BC2 on its own :
1) Every damn room looks the same.
2)As more powerful guns you use, the less of the baddies you seem to kill(I mean just try to spray the bullets on those in front of you and you will get the idea).
3)As somebody pointed out destruction is great but it is the same every time.
4)Explosions are a high point and the smoke effects.
5)Blowing a whole city in one of the levels and not a single civilian even there WTF.
The only way BF BC2 meets and beats Crysis is in its dumb dumb storyline.
 
I find that the models and especially textures are pretty bad in BFBC2, at the highest possible settings in DX10 mode. The lighting is pretty sweet though.

I concur, it's not perfect but it is much better than most games out there. Best bit is it runs well on mid end rigs, what more can you ask?
 
Metro 2033 and Crysis are miles ahead of BC2. There is not even a comparison.

BC2 is straight up console port with HBAO added in. Metro 2033 had tons of effects added into the PC version. Crysis doesn't even need an introduction since it's so far ahead of any other game in terms of technology.

Crysis may be the best overall looking game out there but it still looks like garbage in some spots. some inside environments are barely a step up from Far Cry 1.
