Bad cold...

Yeah. I got a bad cold. Started up yesterday. Pain in the ass too - since I'm supposed to head out to Chicago Monday.
 
we got the flu going around up here in mich...its a 48 hour thing...but you loose more fluids than <insert gross porno joke here>
 
Getting over it. Hit my chest first , then the sinuses.

Dr gave me Bactrim, and told me to use a saline spray on my nose. That saline BURNS! I've been told that it doesnt normally burn. I hope that salt-water kills bacteris/virii....

It's day 5 since it started and I am starting notice I am feeling alot better. Only taken 3 of Bactrim so far. That Saline does help clear up the sinuses alot.

Oh, I've also been hitting the zinc 50mg a day.

The following story is 100% the truth and entirely unfabricated :

Tuesday night I felt horrible like I was going to get a nasty cold. I had just had a horrible allergy/cold dripping in the back of my throat problem the previous weekend and I thought this was the 2nd wave of the 'attack'. What do I do?

Water.

Over the course of Wednesday, I kid you not when I say I drank over 3 liters of water. I took drinks at the fountain between classes, drinking water while browsing AT, everywhere. Of course I had to go to the bathroom every hour but you know what, I woke up on Thursday and felt 110% better. My cold was almost non-existent and it was totally gone by Thursday night.

Water is God!

i can attest to that (about the flu going around). i know at least 6 people who were sick this past few weeks....including me 🙁

my son had it bad last week....they have been talking about it being the same thing that the people on those cruise ships were getting...which makes sense because I didnt get it...its all hand to mouth...not tranmitted through the air....hope you are feeling better now though
