bad blocks on a hard drive

I'm in the process of cloning a drive with ghost, and it's set to skip over read errors, and it's progressing along. I'll see what I end up with.

Anyways, the hard drive is not exhibiting any of the typical signs of a bad drive, there are no unusual noises, nor are there any system lockups.

Could this just be a file system problem and the hard drive still be in good working condition? I've never checked into disk diagnostic tools before, is there a good one that will do test writes & reads to the entire drive?

Download the manufacturers utility from their website.

If it comes up with errors, try formatting, then retest.
Good luck
