Bad block on HD

I have a Hitachi 1TB drive. I run HD Tune 2.55 and found is has one bad block. I have read that a low level format will isolate the bad block. Is this true?. Can the HD salvaged?

You can fix the bad sector with HD Regenerator .... u do a special kind of deep format.

I have fixed bad sectors before with this.. it works, then your HD will be ok with 0 bad sectors... let me know..

There is no way to fix a bad sector with software.
The drive will remap it, and after X remaps (depends on the drive), then it can't remap anymore.

For what it is worth, if you still have a warranty on the HD, then RMA it, it is my experience that once you get bad blocks on a HD, then more will follow.

I was in the process of doing a low level format when I posted this. Finally completed and then I formated the drive NTFS and run HD Tune again and no bad blocks were identified.

Still not sure if I should trash it or use it as a storage drive.

No warranty on drive.
