BAD BAD BAD Ebay!!

By now I think EVERYONE has heard about the Ebay Evo 8 debaclel Browsing the original thread, I just came upon this. Looks like Ebay won't be helping MarkD (OR ANYONE ELSE) out when things go wrong.

I guess I better start looking for another auction venue for buying and selling.

This is pretty discusting....

Boils down to either putting only what you're willing to pay as your first bid or come in at the last minute and hope to snipe it for cheap.

i think there is going to be a class action suit against ebay sometime in the near future

"discusting"?

Your spelling is pretty funny... then again you are the Court Jester 😛

Hey, my spell checker said it was OK.

You arguing with my SPELL CHECKER??!!

(Hey WTF, THAT time my spell check caught it. BAD BAD BAD spell checker... BAD.)

Their mistake (at least the stamp collectors') is not taking all that information to the FBI. Since they obviously have the time and resources to buy and sell those stamps, and collect all that info, I'd think that a simple call to the local FBI office would do reams more than continual requests to eBay. A subpoena from the DoJ can open many doors, even at eBay.

All we can do is users is let eBay know that we want more help to prevent things like this.

They will listen, eventually.

It sucks but people should know that buying from ebay has it's risks and while you can get some really good deals it's also just as easy to get ripped off. That's why I never spend more than a few hundred dollars on anything from ebay.
