Bad Axe 2 cooling - newbie question

I will be starting my first build this weekend. I have the Bad Axe 2 mobo and the Intel E6700 processor. I will be using a Scythe Ninja Plus Rev. B for cooling, with a fan (a JMC 120mm 1225-12HB Fan w/ PWM Connector), I will try to attach the fan to provide some air for the mobo. Is this enough? I will have some leftover vga ram heatsinks (Zalman ZM-RHS1). Should I attach them to the mobo to help cool the vregs and mosfets (I think that's what they're called).

I think you'll be ok, the board comes with some flame-shaped heatsinks already. I just have my CPU cooler and 2x 120mm case fans.

I have the exact same board and heatsink ... set it up this past monday on a C2D 6600 and everything works perfectly. I'm not overclocking at all and have no fan attached to the Ninja Rev B ... the system is almost totally silent and the CPU reading never goes above 45 degrees.

The Ninja mounting bracket does touch the capacitor row (pretty sure they're capacitors anyway) next to the CPU but doesn't seem to be an issue. Was kind of concerned with the quality of the intel-designed plastic push-anchors in holding such a big HS and ended up using the metal fan clips as extra support attached to the top 120mm fan in my Antec P180 case.

Really surprised by how quiet and cool the C2D platform is combined with an eVGA 8800GTX and Corsair 620W Power Supply, upgraded from an AMD 64 3200+, Antec TruePower 430W and Ati Radeon combo.

Do you have a four-pin fan plugged into the CPU fan hookup on the mobo?

No fan plugged in at all. The only board-monitored fan I have running is right next to the Ninja Heatsink at the back of the case. Everything else reports zero fan speed.

Still a bit concerned about the capacitors touching the bracket but there seem to be a lot of people with the Bad Axe 2 / Ninja combo so I'm hoping it's fine.
