Bad-ass moments in video games

Feeling inspired by the badass movie moments thread, how about also suggesting badass video game characters / moments/ actions?

I for one think that Kratos from "God of War" is one badass dude. Anyone who rips enemies in half at the waist, and smashes harpies to the ground with a foot while ripping their wings off, is definitely badass.

I don't know if emotional is the right word, but it is the most moving.

Sephiroth is badass as is Cloud.

NES Bionic Commando when you see Hitler blow up.

Fighting Batman and Spiderman in the original Revenge of Shinobi (Genesis). Sega remade the Batman boss in a later version of the game because of the copyright business. There was also a Godzilla like boss that was remade to some lame skeletal dino boss. I loved that game.

The end of Metal Gear Solid 3, when snake is in the oval office and walks out. That along with the music - awesome. Also the fight with Ocelot in the same game (especially if you played MGS1 and 2). Snake > Ocelot.

The majority of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 is also badass.

A more specific example - when you get 6 stars and get up on the balcony where no cops can get you and just pick people off at will.
