My Bad ass moment in the Matrix is when my brain caught up to what the movie was actually about. From then on the whole movie was bad ass.

in Revolution they tried to force many bad ass moments, but didn't seem to do it for me.

When Superman says "General - would you car to step outside?" in Superman II.

Or when Adrian wakes up in Rocky II and says "Win Rock. Win!"

Or when Superman kneels before Zod and then continues to crush his hand while his theme slowly comes up...

Yeah, where the crowd unmasked him- that was more of an emotional moment than a spine tingler though.

Ahhhhh just thinking about that gives me chills!

How about the president's speach in Independance Day?
That was one of the corniest moment in cinematic history.

For me:
Biting the Curb - American History X
Brad Pitt's character finding the head and spacey's monologue - se7en
the "walk" - the usual suspects

The bad ass moment there is when the crowd vowed to not reveal his identity.

and he was unmasked as a result of the fight not the crowd.

when russell crowe takes off his mask and turns to face joaquin phoenix in 'gladiator'. the look portrayed on his face: shock, confusion and anger all hitting him at once is great.

I liked the scene in Gattaca when he rocketed off into space, and at the same time, the other guy incinerated himself.

"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

Dylan McDermott as Sgt. Franz talking to the reporter in Hamburger Hill

Sam Elliott as Sgt. Major Plumbly in We Were Soldiers..."Gentlemen, prepare to defend yourselves."

Those two are the ones that I think of immediately.

I always loved the scene in Jedi when they are over the sarlack pit and then Luke nods...

"I am your father."

Theoden's speech (especially with the music) as the Riders of Rohan prepare enter the battle in RotK.

Biting the curb, perhaps the most disturbing thing I've ever seen on film.

HAL reading their frigging lips.

Most recently, about a dozen scenes in Batman Begins. It may not stand the test of time like the above, but I was so shocked at how much better it was than I expected.

American History X.

EDIT: I still don't know why the guy did it. I'd rather get shot in the head.
