Last week there was a bad accident outside the city where I live. It happened in a river valley when the fog was really bad. A hopper truck was crawling due to the pea soup fog and got rear-ended by another truck going approx 100km/h. A few seconds later, that semi was rear ended by a Greyhound bus.
Incredibly, nobody was killed but both the driver of the middle truck and the Greyhound are still in critical condition. The bus was an overflow bus that only had around 10 passengers on it. The main bus the was only 2 minutes ahead of it was filled to the brim. A couple passengers of the Greyhound had their legs/feet amputated by the collison.
The accident would have been far, far worse but a person that saw it happen took it upon himself to drive in the wrong side of the road with lights flashing and horn honking to warn oncomming traffic. There was another couple of trucks that would have surely collided with the wreck if it wasn't for him.
