Since I have installed XP I have had bad performance with my Radeon le ( 32 meg ddr) I have the latest drivers installed for both the video card and motherboard an I honestly can't think of anything else, I remember when I used Win98 there was like a "cool bits" tweak and You would get major performance, is there anything like this for XP? Thanks in Advance! Dion

Thanks for the heads-up, I will try out the site and let you know, anyone else with a similar setup have any problems with the Radeon and XP? Dion

While browsing at www.rage3d.com as mentioned above, be sure to grab the tweaked drivers either by Red Software (plutonium drivers) or Omega. I have my radeon le overclocked to 210/210 and have absolutely no performance issues playing games (i.e., RTCW, Halflife, etc. all at max/high config settings). Playing MOHAA is another story though.

Wow! I can't believe you can o/c ur radeon to 210/210 so easily! I get issues @ 183 MHz, sometimes below! Do you have any extra cooling for the card or what?

Well, actually it's not a regular radeon le. It's made by Unitech which is an OEM for ATI. It's named as Radeon LE "Ultra" indicating the default speed of 166/166 w/ hyper-z enabled by default. Basically, it's a regular Radeon DDR w/ a lower speed setting but can be easily overclocked to 200 (210 in my case). It does come with a heatsink/fan but nothing special. I dont' think this particular brand is available in the U.S. I picked it up while on a biz trip in Korea.

My Radeon LE and Win XP run 100% fine! Great performance even in MOH:AA (except snow levels.. gah). Running the 3276 drivers , old old drivers, but newer ones dont give me any performance boost and wont let me alt tab out of CS w/o it locking up. I've play CS, Serious Sam TSE, MOH:AA, Jedi Knight II all at quite acceptable levels at 1024x768 (1152x867 in CS). Jedi Knight and MOH have to be turned down a bit for the frame rate to stay viable. Probalby pick up a R8500 soon though.

My suggestion, download the tweakers, oc the thing to around 180, and see what other tweaks you can run.
