Hey all,

I have an 330W enermax power supply (EG351P-V), and i was checking the voltage lines on it, and they came out to be the following:

first number is the line, second is actual idle, third is under load
+3.3V: 3.36V, 3.34V
+5V: 5.00V, 4.95V
+12V: 12.34V, 12.46V
-12V: -12.45V, -12.61V
-5V: -5.35V, -5.40V
+5VSB: 5.54V, 5.51V

These numbers seemed a little off, so I swapped out the enermax with the PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 300 ATX. The following is what I got
+3.3V: 3.30V, 3.33V
+5V: 5.03V, 4.97V
+12V: 12.04V, 12.16V
-12V: -12.12V, -12.77V
-5V: -5.00V, -5.05V
+5VSB: 5.43V, 5.46V

Do you guys think there's any need to worry when using the enermax unit due to the high +12V line?

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, you figure with a 5% variance you can be w/in 0.6 and still be in tolerance. My Enermax 365-FC used to run 12.39 on the +12V rail.

I just realized my new Enermax power supply has 3.47 volts to the 3.3 volt line. The 12 volt line has 12.54 volts (not as bad). The 3.3 volt line is outside of Enermax's own tolerance limits. It is a bummer when you spend a premium for that kind of performance.

so now that we've determined that power lines aren't too bad on my enermax, i'm just wondering what the rest of you would do... would u keep the enermax which has 2 fans, or put in the turbocool 300 which only has 1 fan? i'm using an antec 1000 series case with 4 panaflo fans if that makes a differences.

Well, if you're using MBM those readings can be off by a good bit. I think you can get more accurate readings with a multimeter.
