As much as I love bacon, I'm not sure this is a good idea. Might end up a disappointment like, you know, bacon beer.

Wouldn't the bacon turn burnt/too crispy by the time the turkey is properly cooked? Or do you take the turkey out of the oven at some point and add the bacon before letting it finish cooking.

Anyone wanna try this for Thanksgiving? :colbert:

The bacon:meat ratio is too low for my liking. I prefer bacon wrapped shrimp.

Mmmm stuffing, mashed potatoes, corned beef, casserole, etc...

I'm not a big fan of turkey, but I don't like eating meat by itself in general (unless its a really really good steak).

It works if you do individual pieces. I cooked for 3 last year (myself included) and did drumsticks and thighs wrapped in prosciutto.

Bacon drowns out the flavor of turkey. And because turkey can get pretty dry, crispy bacon does it no good.
