Men know that the entire outdoors is our urinal. A backyard bar shed therefore makes peeing perfectly simple and convenient. :colbert:

Clearly you haven't evolved. I urinate in strategic locations for maximum scent distribution and thorough territory coverage. Don't accuse me of willy-nilly pissing.

We had something in the mid 70's similar in one guys backyard till we kinda got busted when I was 14 or 15.

Was pretty nice, insulated, space heater, electricity, bongs hidden a bit in the roof space area, was more a clubhouse I guess.

I have an uncle has a bar like that kinda, but it's built on the end of his boat dock on a lake in Michigan.

Several people in FL have little Tiki Bar things by the pool I guess, some actually pretty damned big.

Never bothered to build one out there myself.

My Florida room kinda looked along those ways at one time. ought to do something with it.

300 enclosed square feet by the pool not doing much atm.

Unless that shed is sitting next to a swimming pool, I'm going to pass on that one. Just do it indoors.

1. Given the weather in most of the country, what's the use of a bar that is functional maybe 8 months of the year, plus a few nice days in the winter?

2. I don't want to be a bartender to my family and friends. Sorry. Make your own damned drinks.

3. If I park my ass at a bar, I want either a very large screen TV or some interesting conversation to go with the experience. Not mosquitoes and neighbors mowing the lawn.

4. I never had much of a problem carrying my drinks from the kitchen to the back yard.

It never ceases to amaze me how much money people voluntarily spend to say to the rest of the world: "I love to get drunk and do nothing."

The Austin Powers guy is pretty ballsy to leave bags of chips out like that. Where I live, the mice tear it apart like Rob Ford at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

It's a neat concept for a pool or cottage. Where I live though, you might realistically be able to use from mid-May to mid-September. Could probably extend that a tad with patio heaters. I'd rather spend the money on an indoor bar I can use year round.

I respect your craftsmanship. However, you have the option to wave your willy all willy-nilly if you so choose.

You dont invite women to join you for a drink?...how rude!

Why would you think I don't invite women?

*Dirigible is not a classy person, but neither are the women who accept his invitations...

When we moved into our house, we noticed the outdoor shed had the word "Rab" shoddily painted on it. We wondered why, then our neighbor told us the story. The previous owners were an elderly couple who were Southern Baptists, so no alcohol was allowed in the house whatsoever. The husband would store some booze in the shed and sneak out to get a nip every once in a while. "Rab" is "bar" spelled backward, but apparently his wife never caught on. We still say things like "it's in the Rab" when looking for stuff in storage.

A couple of years ago Guinness had a contest for a complete mini-trailer pub. I entered the drawing religiously every day and made plans for that pub much like people do with their powerball fantasies.

I still hold a grudge against Guinness because I didn't win it.
