I am currently running windows nt server and backup exec as my backup program. I am expierencing failed backups on a daily basis. The backup jobs that fail always have a directory access denied error in them. It is always a random file that is labeled corrupt or access denied. How can I correct this problem.

Two things. Post back the exact log from your backup session that failed. Also, what version of NT are you running?

I would run a DSKCHK the next chance you get. You will have to type CHKDSK /F /X at a command prompt to check for filesystem errors.
