Backup software

Can anybody show me a link to a "freeware" soft for backup control ?

In a few words, I need to make a record of what diretories/volumes each tape contains and the sequence to restore incremmental backups.
Another feature would be the generation of the tape's labels.

Check tucows.com under their backup soft stuff. I bet they have some freeware stuff there. or check out download.com. you have to find one in either of those places
