Backup Software Recommendation / Question

I'm trying to backup the contents of a set of folders whose date is older than 90 days

Once the file is copied over to the backup drive, I want the original deleted.

All folders must be left in tact.

Anyone know of a preferably free program that can do this?

Thanks in advance!

Guess I'll write up something for mIRC and use that.

Still would be nice to know if there's a good piece of backup software out there I can recommend to people who don't know how to code.

I suggest you backup the whole partition or the whole drive, then selective file restore. I recommend Aomei backupper, because its my tool. What do you think about this ?

I used this tool. Its functionality is good enough.

I would not relay on free tools, although some of them are pterry good. It is better to pay, even little money but to have reliable backup. I think Acronis is the right thing for you. It is not expensive to spend about $30 for backup for a year.

I wouldn't use an imaging program to backup personal data unless the data was not critical.

Imaging works. Usually. If usually is good enough, go ahead with it.

But imaging adds an extra layer of complexity between you and the data. It's great when it works, but when it fails you are screwed. I only use it to back up operating system partitions and have a plan B for when it fails.

I use Macrium Reflect for imaging purposes and Free File Sync for data.
