Backup software options

The columinst was high on teh above. Seems expensive.

I want to backup my home pc.

I am using a firewire hard drive now for simple backups.

I may need something that will back up outlook and my documents and whatever else in one shot on a consistent basis.

Do you often have complete hardware failure and lose data? Or do you just have really important documents on your PC all the time?

Hardware failuer has happened. Brand new Dell running raid 0 and one hard drive went bad. no more raid for me.

Any other RAID will reduce the chance of losing one's data, while RAID 0 increases it.

Agreed. You wouldn't need backups if you didn't increase your chances of loss. But that's why I also asked if you had important documents.
