have a small setup that needed to go server 2k8 because of a couple different office locations and people will be connecting to the main software via ts/remote apps.

i would like to use something similiar to acronis, but since this is such a small operation, is there anything a bit lighter on the checkbook for creating live full images to external hdds/tapes and to another machine w/ a raided setup?

if possible, full automation would be nice as i would rather not have to mess with it, just set it up and let it go.

I set it up on a customer's web server once because they had no real backup solution and it worked fine. I just had it backup to files on the local drive and scheduled it to run every night, took me like 5min.

It's not a full imaging solution, but it works fine for what it does.

I'd be interested in hearing how well recovery works for the built-in backup, too, if anyone has experience.
