Backup server options?

Okay, I'm not too sure how I want to get this server backup option. I need a way to have a ready-to-go file server/device that can take over instantaneously if the main file server fails.

The current file server at the show room is a HP home PC (3ghz + 512mb + 200GB). It serves basically QuickBook files to laptops located around the showroom. It also serves some documents and spreadsheet as needed. I was thinking of using a NAS.

1. Dump the desktop for a real server, with enterprise level stuff
2. setup the file server in a failover cluster using SAN storage

then you will have seconds of downtime if your server fails.
