Backup rotations

I'm looking for a solution that allows me to archive all backed up files for a minimum of five years. I was thinking there was a GFS scheme that did it, but I'm not sure. Right now we We run differentials during the week (Sunday thru Thursday) and rotate those tapes every 5 weeks.

We run Full backup on the week-end all week-ends except the last full week-end of the month and rotate those tapes every 5 weeks.

We run a full backup at the end of the month and keep those for 1 year.

We run a full backup at the end of the year and keep that forever.

It looks like you have a pretty good backup scheme going already. You could archive every weeks full but that would mean a lot of media.
Outside of what you already have in place, I'm not sure how you can realistically backup every file and archive it for 5 yrs.

Thanks. And because of the new SOX compliance laws we will need every "targeted" file.
