Backup question on XP.

Well, I'm trying to backup some files(just little over 100meg) on another hd.
I made a normal backup first in a folder, then scheduled an Incremental backup at system startup choosing append on existing backup file.
However, the Incremental backup isn't running even if there were changes in the files.
Should I change the path of incremental backup different from the normal backup?
By the way, yes the system scheduler service is running.
