Backup/ Media Drive Needed

I want to use an external drive for storing media and also importing miniDV footage on my PC, but I was wondering if I could use the Ext3 filesystem, which there is a windows driver for, and also use the drive with a Mac OS.

I know Ext3 works for read/write on Linux and Windows (with the driver), but I'm not sure if Mac will read/write to it...

Otherwise I will simply use NTFS and I won't be able to use it with a Mac (I'll have to get another drive)
