is it your NFSHS is the original one? or the copy one? if the copy one, check in the cd, it's must be have a crack, and it's must have an application to run the game, copy it and paste into the folder where u instal the game! and replace it with the current one, sorry about the english :p

i am sure your NFSHS is the copy one! as long u can install the game, it's mean nothing wrong with the burner! try it mate! normally people give the crack folder to put the application, find it in your cd

NFSHS is protected by Safedisk copy protection-If you have the right burner and with the right burning software you can burn the game so it will work correctly. However, as you stated, it didnt work. You can still use the copy you made-go to www.gamecopyworld.com and here there is a huge collection of hacked executables for most games. You should be able to find one there for NFSHS-the hacked executable will bypass the copyprotection. Only downside is you patch the game with an update youll have to find the hacked updated executable(ie-if you update to 1.4 youll need the hacked 1.4 exe). What cdburner are you using? IF you have the right one you can make copies of protected games that will work without adding the hacked exe.

I'm currently using the HP 9200i which is the scsi version of 8x 4x 32x rewriter. Do you think this can do it without the hack?

wallykid, as the tboo said, go to gamecopyworld.com, and find the patch/ cracks for your game, and replace it with the current one

Wallykid, your in luck!! Your cdrw is supported by clonecd. Not only can you copy safedisk protected games that will play without a crack, but you can also copy games protected by the new securom that has popped up recently. Once you get clonecd here are some links to instructions on what settings to use with each type of protected cd(as soon as a new game comes out, somebody in gamecopyworld's forum will have the scoop on what protection is on the game or you can figure it out yourself). Heres the link(the other link has info on what files to look for on the cd to determine what protection it has:

http://www.daemon-tools.com/clonecd.htm
for info on how to copy protected games with clonecd

http://www.daemon-tools.com/protection.htm
for info on protections and how to spot them

Hope this helps
