Our backups at work have been giving me a lot of headaches. We were getting full backups but backup failed status, whatever. Then we started getting I/O errors before backups would even get to a meg or gig, so we replaced the scsi card (29160) with a new one.
Now we're getting a problem we used to get once in awhile randomly where backup asks for 'loading media' in backup exec (asking for another tape) at so many gigs (16 today), and the tape isn't full (40/80gig dlt). it happens while backing up exchange mailboxes. Drive is quantum dlt7000 i think and windows2000, using backup exec 8.6.
I'm out of ideas short of calling up quantum and getting a new drive out here. anyone experience something similar?
