I have a converter that converts windows bitmaps into Icons, but using paint there is a white backround on all my icons, unless i fill them. Most icons i know do not have a backround at all, so how do you do that?
I think paint doesn't support transparency so you can achieve that there. Try better image editing programs like Gimp or Photoshop that allows transparency.. then just export it as an ICO file. I don't know about Gimp but you need a small plug-in for Photoshop to do ICO files.
