Just ordered one of these.

I hope there's no catch, seems too good to be true. I also hope I'm not a sucker, these may be $150 in another 2 months ... 😉 (not likely)

BTW for those who've missed it, ZZF has had AGP X800 XT's RETAIL as low as $219, still listed there, just out of stock.

Update: both OOS

Hey Elkinm! Yeah, you just turned me onto this in that other thread.

Yeh, I'm thinking this will definitely hold us over.

Googling the web for this card turned up a few things

For those who are curious here's the specs on the various X800's since concise and accurate information seems to be a little sparse on the web. Corrections please. 😛

X800 XT : 16 pipes, 500 MHz core, DDR 1000
X800 XT PE: 16 pipes, 520 MHz core, DDR 1120
X800 Pro: 12 pipes, 475 MHz core, DDR 900
X800 XL: 16 pipes, 400 MHz core, DDR 980

The XL is manufactured with the 110 nm process the rest are 130 nm, which means it should have lower power draw. I really would have gone for the Sapphire AGP XL (a great product) but it's $15 more! 😛

Nice deal, thanks OP.

Again, I have to plug elkinm, who brought this to my attention.

The Sapphire XT PE's were 229 on ZZF retail, before they went out of stock (fast). This seems to be a trend.... Seems like ATI is trying to quietly move out the XT's in preparation for something.... 😉

XT just went back-ordered. PE still there....

Both OOS, that was fast.

consolation prize: Sapphire retail XT PE AGP $279 link

You might rather go for the XL for $265... but that's out of "hot deal" territory... 🙂

It just goes to show you how many cards they could move if they didn't start out at $600! Just in the last week when one of the deals hits they are gone in no time.

Thanks for the review OvErHeAtInG. (You are quite hot) Very nice software bundle, I especially like counter strike. Sucks that I need Steam again.

These deals will probably be popping up from now on if not better for anyone who missed out.
