Backlit keyboard recommendation

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some recommendations on backlit keyboards. This is for a friend of mine who primarily uses his PC for photoshop work. The best deal I found so far is the Logitech g110 at micro center for $79. Are there any good backlit keyboards out there in the $50 range?
He's not a gamer so he doesn't need anything fancy.

thanks in advance

The Saitek Eclipse II has backlighting (in blue, red, or violet--it's adjustable) plus some media keys for $45ish.

I have a couple of these keyboards. The current one I have on my main gaming pc is starting to get a bit slow on response on the W key. I bought this particular one when the Eclipse II first came out. Its old now. I highly reccomend them. They will hold up for many years in heavy key smashing and pounding. I too am looking around if there is something better. So far not seeing anything I really like. I might buy another Eclipse II if I cant find something better.

It's more than you want to spend, but it's also a mechanical keyboard: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11401&cs_id=1140102&p_id=9181&seq=1&format=2

I highly recommend it. It's phenomenal.

The specs are simply amazing!

But the price is kind of high on the down side.

We have quite a few new mechanical gaming keyboards coming out this year by a few companies like corsair, rosewill and razer to name a few.

I might hold off a few more months and see how the dust settles.

I personally have a mechanical keyboard from Max Keyboard that is awesome. Although it was a bit pricey, $220 ! But it is worth every cent. I had it custom made and chose my unique LED colors for each key.

Hey, Turbonium: if you like the no-nonsense approach of the Monoprice one, try a Rosewill (Newegg's in-house brand) illuminated keyboard. They sell mechanical key ones (the cheapest is MX Blue, followed by MX Brown) for $119.99 plus $12.24 shipping (and some tax).

There are also cheaper ones without backlighting. You can also usually find them for a tiny bit cheaper on Amazon (actually, it might be some pretty significant savings if shipping is free).
