Backlight Uniformity/Leaking issue

I was wondering if someone could help me with this.

I just bought a Viewsonic VX2025WM LCD monitor. Seems like I might be having a backlight leaking issue. When the screen is displaying black, I can see that my monitor is brighter at the four corners of my monitor. It not very noticeable unless my screen is showing alot of black areas. This is bother me but I don't know if this is "normal". Should I return the monitor for a new one or is this something that "normal"?

It's normal. My VP930b has it, the VX2025 has it, not sure if other Viewsonic montiors have it. With mine, once you turned down the brightness so that you don't get blinded by the screen, you really don't notice it at all.

You'll get use to it.
