backing up securom v4 games

ive tired legally backing up my vice city game so many times. i always end up scratching my disks so i want to make a backup now. i dont want to use virtual drives. ive tried many different methods, they all take way too long and never work. anyone have links to full and descriptive tutorials on how to backup securom v4.xxx games?
 
I know it can be done, because I've ripped the GTA:VC discs to my hard drive and I use Daemon Tools to load the disc to play.

I used CloneCD to do it, but I don't know if it's available any more. Your best bet would probably be Alcohol 120%.

Also, check out the Alcohol forums....that's what I check out if I am having problems backing up my CDs.
 
CloneCD is at version 4.3.2.2 now and works like a champ. I could be off on the version number but they are still releasing updates to this day. They just released an update within the past 2 weeks.
