Backing up/Restoring email and address book in Windows ME's Outlook Express

Can anyone tell me how to backup and restore my email messages (inbox and sent) and address book in Window ME's Outlook Express? I've used a "trial copy" of Windows ME for a while and now I want to do a clean install of the real mccoy without losing my data. Thanks,

The mail files will be kept in a folder, and for the life of me I cannot remember what the default folder is 🙂

If in OE you got to Tools -- Options -- Maintenance, you can select the Store Folder. The current folder will be displayed and you have the option of changing it if you wish. To back up your current mails, all you need to do is copy the contents of that folder.

The address book is a single file with the extension .WAB Can't remember where the default location is for this file, but if you do a search you'll find it easy enough.

 
Thanks, Rob. The clean install went smoothly and I easily imported my prior address book. I haven't tried to reinstall my old emails since I printed them before doing the clean install, but I may try later. Take care,
