backing up my address book in Outlook 2000

ive done this alot, and sometimes its worked and sometimes it hasnt. so if anyone could give me some help on the correct way to do this, it would help a lot. thank you

I believe the appropriate filename is outlook.pst, but I could be wrong (as that might be just the messages).

The best way (and the "official" way) is to use File>Import&Export...It's pretty self-explanatory from there, but you can search help for "About Exporting Items" for more information.

Just as setaanbomb
said. It is very straight forward. It will save it as a .PAB file. .PST is used for you messages. (Inbox, sent, Deleted...)

Just do a search for all *.pst and *.pab files on your computer. The pst are your message folders and pab are your address books. Should be easy to import back to outlook once you've got these two files saved.
