backing up files on dvdr

I have literally thousands of jpop/jtv that I need to backup.

But what can I use to create like a searchable database/catalog so I can quickly locate which files are on which dvdr afterwards? Thanks.

meh tried them all out, offline cd is slick enough, but rejects some data dvds for no good reason, and crashes in the progress😛 viscd has a sh*t interface i couldn't be bothered to figure out. catfish is just too primitive for good search results gah.
only thing i could find that really works well is cdbank cataloger, but its 20 bucks, oh well. seems cdbank catalog out of those is the only one that even bothers thinking that you might want to quickly catalog more than one disc at a time. it helps automate the process a bit by assuming there will be another disc inserted right after etc.. good stuff.

heh after feeding it a bit of dvds its scary how quick the total GB catalogued adds up😉 good thing about cd bank cataloguer is that it lets you browse the offline cds like a file system, very logical, each dvd as a root folder etc. the other freeware ones i found so far don't let you really do that, making you load each discs info separately...a very annoying chore. catfish had the worst search, it only shows the first instance it finds and forces you to click find next over and over ...heh sad

ah well, so wondering if theres any freeware that really does match this.
