Backing up data in outlook?

The .pst file contains all of that info. If you have any rules setup, you'll need to export those as they are not contained in the .pst file.

If you are interested in backing up the pst file regularly, in the MS office site there is an Outlook plug-in that you can configure how often and to where you want to backup the file. When the time come and you exit outlook it will backup the data. I like it a lot, very simple..my pst file is like 55megs so I have a lot of info i don't want to loose.

i downloaded that add-in, and it said i needed outlook 2000/2002? i have windows xp pro, and im assuming its outlook xp i have as well?

also where do you find the .PST file to backup? i searched my hd and it didnt bring anything back?
