that would work if they were being backed up to a hard drive. and /v doesn't do anything, its only there so that old ms-dos commands don't screw up

I've only got about 60 gb's to backup, but it still sucks...

Weekly backup onto 3 different hard drives.

i have all my mp3's on a snap server (4 x 40 gig HD's raid 5), will upgrade it to 4 x 80 shortly.
