My wife got backed into in a parking lot at work. The guy works for the building manager and was taking out trash or something. He has an expired license (2 yrs) and insurance (several months). There is a police report and i had my wife take pictures of both vehicles, his license and insurance cards.
we realized they were both expired after she got home. initially Police were called and declined to report due to it being on private property and such. we called back and they took the report after we figured out his stuff was all expired.
We have full coverage insurance.
I est. 1500 in damage. bumper cover, internal parts, reflector/light. luckily he missed the tail light and rear hatch.
Do we need to contact the building manager and get his insurance info?
the guy was working so does it fall under the buildings insurance?
Are we completely screwed because he does not have a license or insurance? 😡😡😡
i have not had to deal with an accident in a parking lot like this before.
