Backed into a Ram

Today I was in a grocery store parking lot, backing up and I hit a red Dodge Ram, who was also backing out. We were going very slowly, so it wasn't too bad, and since we were both at fault we just exchanged numbers just in case. (His Ram was old and beat up anyway, so no damage to him).

I have a 96 Accord, so it messed up my plastic bumper a bit, along with small cracks in the tailight. Anyhow, I'm in college and I'm not paying to get this fixed (would be way too much), so I want to attempt to 'fix' it myself.

Here are some pics; it's from my cell phone so it is actually worse than it looks.

Should I sand down the area, they spray on some matching paint? What about the areas were the paint is cracked? Or should I just clean it, get some of that goo filling paste, and 'paint' over it?

Any suggestions are great, thanks.

Just use some Denatured Alcohol on a rag. It will clean up most of the scuff marks. The rest of the small chips, just get some touch up
paint and fill them in carefully. It is after all a 1996 car. Not worth the cost of a pro repair for that little damage.

Good advice, I wouldn't spend too much money on it.

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the bumper. Just replace the tail light that has been cracked (water inside the tail light housing can cause problems down the road, better to replace that and ignore the bumper). You can probably pick up an un-cracked used housing on e-bay for a reasonable price.
